  • Program for families of army members with a family member with any physical, emotional, developmental or intellectual disorder that requires treatment, therapy, education, training or counseling. Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) offers coordination through systems to assist members in various ways. Resources include system navigators who assist families in finding the appropriate system of care, EFMP Newsletter with information and resources for its members, Military OneSource tool for exploring benefits and processes, DirectSTEP which offers educational courses on a variety of topics, and respite care support to provide temporary rest periods for family members.
