Therapies offered include the following:
Speech-Language Therapy
For children with delays in comprehension, verbal expression, articulation, fluency, voice, executive functioning, and pragmatics (social skills). Social groups offered seasonally, Spanish/English bilingual evaluations are available. Quality care is provided to children of varying diagnosis to improve their communication skills using alternative communication strategies.
Auditory-Verbal Therapy
Family Centered intervention provided by auditory-verbal specialists to children with hearing loss who wear cochlear implants and/or Hearing aids. Specialists help develop listening and spoken language skills to children whose primary form of communication is oral communication with their parents.
Occupational Therapy
Intervention provided to children with delays in fine motor development, sensory integration, handwriting, feeding, and activities of daily living to help improve children's participation in everyday tasks through strength exercises, motor coordination, sensory activities, and/or adapting the children's environment.
Feeding Clinic
Feeding Team comprised of a Gastroenterologist, Dietician, Speech-Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and a Parent Support Specialist. working together with the children and their parent(s) to assess, collaborate and determine the best plan of care for the children's who have poor feeding abilities. Using the SOS (sequential Oral Sensory) approach to feeding, the team works to increase the children's comfort with taste, texture, smell, and consistency of food and develop improved oral-motor skills to support safe eating, hydration, and nutrition.
